$10 Intro Session - FAQ

Cost/Availability:

Can’t it just be FREE?

Yes! Well, sort of: The $10 can be applied toward your next lesson or package, should you book lessons.

Is the intro session cancelable or refundable?

So there are no refunds or cancellations for intro sessions—sorry about this. This is just to cut down on no-shows and tire-kickers blocking off limited studio time. Conversely, if you’re serious about finding the right teacher for you, this policy should help keep more times available for us to meet. Thank you for understanding :)

Are other sessions cancelable or refundable?

Yes! All other lessons, here, are reschedulable up to the night before, and come with a zero risk, hassle-free, money-back guarantee.

What if I’m running late?

Please plan to be ready early. I’ll wait for about 5-7 minutes, and if I haven’t heard from you by then, the session will be considered missed.

What is an introductory session?

An introductory 30-minute session simply allows for us to meet, chat, sing a bit, and for you to get a feel for meeting online for singing. It’s also a chance for me to learn more about your background and goals.

After discussing your goals and relevant background, I’ll listen to your voice on a scale and/or a bit of a song and we can discuss next steps.

Are there any equipment or other requests for the intro session?

There are a few easy requests. Online singing lesson audio can now be great—but it can require a bit of effort. Here’s what you should try to have for the intro session—at least if you want to sing in the session:

  1. Earbuds or headphones —“Wired” headphones / earbuds are best for regular lessons, but Bluetooth is okay for the intro sesson.

  2. A laptop or desktop (i.e. not a phone or tablet) with:

    • Webcam

    • Chrome browser installed

    • Zoom installed
