Practical stuff:

Parking: There is free parking on the streets and side streets (you are allowed to park on my street, regardless of signage, while visiting the studio).

Observing Lessons: You're welcome to watch the lesson. Some parents watch the first lesson or two, some watch many.

Waiting: I have a comfortable living room, connected to the music room, that you're welcome to wait in. There's also good wifi.

Neighbourhood: There are many great coffee shops in my neighbourhood. Also most banks, a London Drugs, and some incredible grocers and specialty food shops, if you want to get some errands done, while you're in the neighbourhood. 

Ethical Stuff:

I've been a contract worker in public and private high schools for a couple decades. I have a (clean!) criminal record check on file at the school, or at the Vancouver School Board office.

I'm currently pursuing my Bachelor in Education, Music Specialist degree at UBC and am aware of the responsibilities of being in a position of trust with young people. 

Courtenay has been a gifted and dedicated teacher to our daughter. His commitment to lesson-by-lesson growth focused on vocal range and proper technique has yielded very positive results. The manner in which he teaches and communicates with our daughter has resulted in: greater vocal range and control; a broader love of many different music genres; a keener desire to practice; raised confidence and expectations for herself.
